Message from the Principal
On behalf of the entire faculty and staff, I want to welcome you to Seabreeze High School! It is a privilege and a pleasure to serve all of our parents, #1 SANDCRAB STUDENTS, and community members. I am excited and honored to be your Principal!
The Seabreeze High School faculty and staff are very excited about the various opportunities and challenges the school year will bring. Our school grade for 2017-2018 from the state of Florida was a “B” in large part due to more challenging state assessments and changes in how schools are evaluated. We were two points shy of being an “A” school. A school earning a “B” grade is considered to be a high performing school under the current school accountability system. In addition, Seabreeze High School received the honor “Best High Schools” from the U.S. News and World Report ranking once again for 2018.
We, as a TEAM, are committed to continuous improvement as we strive to provide an exemplary educational experience for all of our students. As part of that promise we offer Academy programs and a wide range of AP course selections to provide students with opportunities beyond their core curricular experiences. In addition, we are a Cambridge International School offering our students the opportunity to work towards an AICE diploma from the prestigious Cambridge program. We take additional pride in the fact that we are an AVID school as well.
Our orientations have been completed and we are excited to begin the new school year for 2018-2019. I encourage everyone to be to school on time each day. The more time your child is in class, the more success your child will experience. Even a few lost minutes each day has a negative impact on their overall success!
Throughout the school year I encourage you to visit www.seabreezehigh.org and check out our events on the school calendar. It will help keep you abreast of all activities that occur on our campus and assist with your involvement at Seabreeze.
In closing, I welcome you to our Seabreeze High School family and encourage you to be active partners with your child(ren) and school during their high school years. Parental involvement is the key to success for all!
